This startling photograph is acknowledged as one of the most horrifying photographs shot ever since the camera was invented.
Notice the vulture waïting for the child to die.

This photo was shot in 1994 and won the Pulitzer Prize. The location is Sudan, outside a UN warehouse for storing food and grain received as humanitarian aid. Nobody knows what happened to the child. But Kevin Carter broke down mentally after taking this picture and ultimately committed suicide within 3 months of taking this picture.

This is what Kevin Carter wrote in his diary which was recovered after his death:

"Dear God, I promise I will never waste my food no matter how bad it can taste and how full I may be. I pray that He will protect this little boy, guide and deliver him away from his misery. I pray that we will be more sensitive towards the world around us and not be blinded by our own selfish nature and interests. I hope this picture will always serve as a reminder to us that how fortunate we are and that we must never ever take things for granted."

Each one of us waste food just because we can afford to waste food. Despite all the technological advances made by man, it has not been possible to eliminate hunger. Hunger is not only caused by famine or failure of crops. It is also caused by war both internecine and external agressíon.

Can we, after seeing this photograph take  a pledge not to waste food ?
Can we educate our children not to waste food ?

Can we share this picture with our friends and acquaintances and take a pledge to spread awareness, beyond the four walls of our home about the existence of hunger

Please do not waste food in this blessed month ... or any other month for that matter.

Jay Z fighting to keep financial & criminal records out of 'Big Pimpin' lawsuit

Rapper Jay Z is asking a judge to keep his financial and criminal records confidential in his 'Big Pimpin' lawsuit, insisting the documents do not pertain to the case. The hip-hop mogul has been locked in a California court battle with Osama Ahmed Fahmy since 2007, after he alleged Jay Z's hit song, Big Pimpin violates his rights to his uncle Baligh Hamdy's Egyptian composition, Khosara, Khosara, which was released in 1957. Jay Z has maintained the song is protected under a previous licensing agreement made by producer Timbaland when the song was released in 2000, but a trial date has been set for later this year if the two parties cannot come to an agreement. The girls were tricked into flashing their breasts for $100    A prankster has shared hilarious video of girls flashing their boobs for $100. The video which was uploaded on YouTube channel called PrankGenerator shows the host asking a lot of ladies in the street to show their boobs on camera for $100.      Although some were shy, they agreed but to their surprise, the money wasn't real and the whole thing was a set up prank.   A SEMA official gathering the remains of the suicide bombers   Three suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers have died in an attempt to attack Muna Garage, Dabarmari and Dusuma villages in Maiduguri metropolis.   The incident occurred at about 4:38am on Sunday morning.
