Catholic Priest Stabbed in His Neck While Saying Mass in Front of His Church Congregation

Father Miguel Angel Machorro, a Mexican priest has been hospital after being stabbed during Mass in Mexico City's cathedral.
 
According to BBC, Father Miguel Angel Machorro is said to be in "delicate but stable" condition after Monday evening's attack, according to government and ecclesiastical sources.
 
A suspect, who was reportedly detained on site as he tried to flee, told law enforcement officials he was a North American artist.
 
His identity has not been confirmed.
 
The assault left the priest lying on the ground, with blood soaking his clothes.

He was stabbed in the neck, and some witnesses said it seemed to be an attempt to cut his throat, said La Jornada newspaper.
 
At a news conference, the lawyer of the archdiocese, Armando Martínez, told people to pray for Father Machorro.
 
"We cannot talk about terrorism, we cannot talk about motives because we obviously have no significant facts," he said.

Deeper Life Church Ordered to Pay Celestial Church N5million

The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division has ordered the Registered Trustees of Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) to pay N5 million as damages for trespass on land owned by the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC). This means that the Appeal Court upheld an earlier judgement by a Lagos High Court.     It was gathered that the CCC had, through its representative, Joseph Ebhodaghe, sued DCLM over a disputed land measuring approximately 1055.864 square meters, situated at Mulero area of Agege and registered as No. 75 Volume 2004T at the Lagos State Land Registry, Ikeja.   At the High Court, Justice Candide-Johnson in a judgment delivered on January 17, 2014, declared Celestial Church as the rightful owner of the disputed land and awarded N5m as damages against Deeper Life.   The court also granted a perpetual injunction restraining DCLM, its agents or servants from further trespass on the disputed land.   But, DCLM dissatisfied with the ...

  A SEMA official gathering the remains of the suicide bombers   Three suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers have died in an attempt to attack Muna Garage, Dabarmari and Dusuma villages in Maiduguri metropolis.   The incident occurred at about 4:38am on Sunday morning.
