Bomb Alert! Security Operatives Prevent Another Bomb Blast in Maiduguri

After the bomb explosion that rocked the people of the northeast by the dreaded terror group, Boko Haram, security operatives have just averted another bomb blast in Maiduguri.   Security operatives have demobilized materials suspected to be Improvised Explosive Devises (IED) planted near the office of the Borno State Pilgrims Welfare Board in Maiduguri.   The Public Relations Officer of the Borno State Police Command, Mr Victor Isuku, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri on Monday.   He said that the IEDs, which were planted by people suspected to be members of the Boko Haram terror group were demobilized by a joint security team. “I can confirm that it was a joint police/military operation that demobilized the IEDs but thank God, no live was lost or injuries recorded,“ Isuku said.   NAN recalls that no fewer than 20 people were killed after three female suicide bombers detonated...

Ejike Mbaka has been pictured moving to his new parish accompanied by several loyal followers after his transfer was effected.   After spending 20 years in his base in Christ The King Parish at GRA Enugu, highly revered Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has been  transferred to another parish, Our Lady Parish, Emene, a suburb of Enugu city.   Fr. Mbaka is reportedly going to be lodged in a one room in his new parish as against the duplex he had in GRA, Enugu.   The highly vocal cleric was pictured making his way to his new base accompanied by a crowd of supporters.   See more pictures below:

PDP Crisis: Ali Modu Sheriff Speaks on Alleged Plan to Suspend Former President

    The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff said the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has no plans to suspend some of its bigwigs including former President Goodluck Jonathan as being speculated.   He said his regime would not condone impunity and indiscipline in whatever guise, but work towards re-defining the party and giving hope to the ordinary Nigerians.    Speaking through his deputy, Cairo Ojougboh in a telephone interview with Daily Trust last night, the PDP chief said he loves the party and does not wish that its members defect to other political parties.   “We are very particular about the interest of our party.
