Nigerian youths serving in Ondo state were involved in an orientation programme on s*x and protection from STDs which has been on the rise in a rural area.

The Corp members of Ijare and Irese under Ifedore local government, Ondo state, under the supervision of Miss Ogunsola (LGI), today en mass trooped out to sensitise the people of Irese about the danger and risk of having unprotected s*x and teenage pregnancy.

Reports have it that It came to the notice of the youths observing thier National Youth Service Corp Programme in the South-west state that almost all the teenage girls in Irese town are either pregnant or don't have an idea of the risk behind teenage pregnancy.
 
We took it upon us as our weekly CDS today to go and educate the teenagers on the risk behind having teenage pregnancy and unprotected s*x. It was all a success as the people of Irese turned out in mass, to be educated by Corp members.
 
The Local Government Inspector was so happy with the idea and the way the Corp members of Irese and Ijare organised themselves, she also praised the team spirit and encouraged the continuity of team spirit according to a statement by one of the corpers named Komolafe Daniel Oluwole Durglaz.

The alleged Niger Delta militant killed by the Army on Friday   This is the photos of a Niger Delta militant killed by the Nigerian Army in Bakassi, Cross River State during a gun battle on Friday.   The Army had reported that its troops at the early hours of Friday, repelled an attack on its soldiers by killing seven armed militants at Efut Esighi in Bakassi local government area of Cross River State.     Capt. Kayode Owolabi, Army Public Relations Officer who disclosed this to newsmen on Friday in Calabar, said the militants attacked the Army post in Efut Esighi.       Owolabi linked the militants to be `boys’ of the most wanted militant leader, Benjamin Ene a.k.a `G1’, who has been on the wanted list of security agencies in the state.

Students and staff of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta are happy following the suspension of their VC   Staff and students of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) were elated following news that their embattled Vice chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole has been suspended by the Federal Government as a result of series of petitions bothering on alleged mal-administration and financial malpractices.   The staff openly fried akara (bean cake) in the field to celebrate the exit of the embattled VC.
