Dangote Opens One-stop Shop In Onitsha

One of Nigeria's most successful conglomerates, the Dangote Plc, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Bontus Group of Companies based in Onitsha for the supply and distribution of all Dangote products in the commercial city.
 
Director in charge of Dangote in the South East, Mr. Tunde Mabogunje signed for his company, while the chairman of Bontus Group, Chief Uche Okafor, signed for his company.
 
Okafor said at the signing ceremony that with the agreement, all Dangote products, including sugar, cement, noodles, rice and tomato, would soon flood the eastern part of the country at very competitive prizes.
 
The South East director of Dangote, Mr. Mabogunje, said in addition to sugar, salt, cement and other products, his company would launch its brand of rice before December 2017, just as Dangote tomato would soon be in the market

How Abba Moro, Others Cut Cost Causing NIS Recruitment Tragedy

  A witness has told the court on Friday that despite raking in about N1 billion from sale of forms, only N45 million was released for the conduct of the tragic 2014 immigration recruitment exercise.   According to Premium Times, the witness, Tabugn Sylvanus, a retired Director and Secretary of the Board of the National Immigration Service, NIS, said N201 million was actually required for a proper conduct of the exercise.   Mr. Sylvanus also told the Federal High Court that a last minute adjustment made to the recruitment exercise moved the number of expected participants at the Abuja test venue from 6,800 to over 66,000.   Mr. Sylvanus is the second persecution witness to testify in court during the ongoing trial of former Interior Minister, Abba Moro.   Mr. Moro, who was also the chairman of the board of the NIS, is accused of defrauding hundreds of thousands of job seekers, who paid N1,000 each for the recruitment test.   Despit...

CBN Security Guard Arrested for Stealing Specimen Naira Currency Notes

Vatasama Danladi Vatasama Danladi, a security guard attached to the Central Bank of Nigeria has been arraigned for stealing specimen Naira currency notes. Danladi got into trouble after he deposited the stolen specimen naira notes amounting to N299,000 at Guarantee Trust Bank's ATM deposit machines in Karu and Mararaba sometime in January 2016. He got into legal trouble when the bank found the 299 pieces of N1000 marked “specimen” during a process of cash count sometime in January.   He appeared before Justice Kolo of Abuja High Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty. In view of his plea, counsel to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Counsel, EFCC, Andrew Akoja, urged the court to remand the accused and fix a date for trial.

Dino Melaye Didn't Graduate from ABU - Sahara Reporter's Publisher Maintains Stand
