CBN Security Guard Arrested for Stealing Specimen Naira Currency Notes

Vatasama Danladi, a security guard attached to the Central Bank of Nigeria has been arraigned for stealing specimen Naira currency notes.

Danladi got into trouble after he deposited the stolen specimen naira notes amounting to N299,000 at Guarantee Trust Bank's ATM deposit machines in Karu and Mararaba sometime in January 2016.

He got into legal trouble when the bank found the 299 pieces of N1000 marked “specimen” during a process of cash count sometime in January.
 
He appeared before Justice Kolo of Abuja High Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty.

In view of his plea, counsel to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Counsel, EFCC, Andrew Akoja, urged the court to remand the accused and fix a date for trial.

Abdul Jalal    Pictured above is a gallant soldier identified as Abdul Jalal who died from severe injuries after being hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) recently in Borno state.   The soldier was in a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle -when they were hit by the explosive. According to reliable reports, other soldiers survived the incident.   May his soul rest in peace. R.I.P brave soldier, your sacrifices will never be forgotten.

A pregnant woman has been spotted in a Lagos town working as a bus conductor in spite of her condition.   The woman in the picture is a pregant woman who was spotted working as a bus conductor today at Ajah, Lagos.   As she hustled up and down to get passengers, a man, who took the pictures, asked her if she was truly pregnant.
