CBN Security Guard Arrested for Stealing Specimen Naira Currency Notes

Vatasama Danladi, a security guard attached to the Central Bank of Nigeria has been arraigned for stealing specimen Naira currency notes.

Danladi got into trouble after he deposited the stolen specimen naira notes amounting to N299,000 at Guarantee Trust Bank's ATM deposit machines in Karu and Mararaba sometime in January 2016.

He got into legal trouble when the bank found the 299 pieces of N1000 marked “specimen” during a process of cash count sometime in January.
 
He appeared before Justice Kolo of Abuja High Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty.

In view of his plea, counsel to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Counsel, EFCC, Andrew Akoja, urged the court to remand the accused and fix a date for trial.

Deeper Life Church Ordered to Pay Celestial Church N5million

The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division has ordered the Registered Trustees of Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) to pay N5 million as damages for trespass on land owned by the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC). This means that the Appeal Court upheld an earlier judgement by a Lagos High Court.     It was gathered that the CCC had, through its representative, Joseph Ebhodaghe, sued DCLM over a disputed land measuring approximately 1055.864 square meters, situated at Mulero area of Agege and registered as No. 75 Volume 2004T at the Lagos State Land Registry, Ikeja.   At the High Court, Justice Candide-Johnson in a judgment delivered on January 17, 2014, declared Celestial Church as the rightful owner of the disputed land and awarded N5m as damages against Deeper Life.   The court also granted a perpetual injunction restraining DCLM, its agents or servants from further trespass on the disputed land.   But, DCLM dissatisfied with the ...

The video which was uploaded on YouTube channel called PrankGenerator shows the host asking a lot of ladies in the street to show their boobs on camera for $100.      Although some were shy, they agreed but to their surprise, the money wasn't real and the whole thing was a set up prank. Three young men suspected to be members of the dreaded One Million Boys armed-robbery gang have been arrested by the police as they planned to rob a church during night vigil. The suspected armed robbers arrested by the police   Policemen in Lagos have arrested three suspected members of One Million boys armed-robbery gang terrorizing the Badagry area of Lagos State.
