Chief Asuquo Abia, the Secretary, Traditional Rulers Council, Esit Eket, told NAN in Esit Eket on Saturday that the gunmen invaded the palace of the paramount ruler in the wee hours of Friday morning. No fewer than 10 unknown gunmen on Friday night kidnapped the pregnant wife of Ubong Assam, the paramount ruler of Esit Eket in Akwa Ibom. A young boy has been stabbed to death during a friendly street football match in Okota, Lagos after the match turned violent. One of the players stabbed an opponent to death at the weekend when the misunderstanding started. According to Vanguard, some youths from Oseni Liade Street were playing football at the end of the street, when a group of boys from neighbouring Taiwo Street came to join them. But the visiting youths were told to wait for their turn. At the end of the first round, another set of players, among who were the visiting youths, were expected to take over the football pitch.
