Breaking News: Niger Delta Avengers Blow Up Oil Pipeline Again

The Militants have blown up an underground Chevron crude oil trunk line.
The trunk line is located along the Seria Creek near Abiteye, a few kilometres away from the company’s multi-billion dollars Tank Farm in Escravos, Warri South West local government area of Delta State.
The Punch reports that the incident, which occurred midnight, was noticed by workers in the production department when they observed drop in production pressure.
A top Chevron management officer and a security source both separately confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
The source said a technical team of experienced engineers had been dispatched to the scene of the spill to ascertain the true cause.
Information available to us reveal that the Seria Creek and all adjoining creeks of Abiteye have now been covered with massive oil spill emanating from the trunk line.
A local source in the area said, “At the moment, the entire creek has been littered with crude oil.”
The violent militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, also announced the attack on their twitter handle as seen below.

WOLE OLANIPEKUN'S RESPONSE......A Must Read By Bello Gachi

Image
"Some people don’t know and some pretend not to know that law has its technicalities-both civil and criminal proceedings. They talk of technicalities and say that lawyers delay cases, look, without being immodest; I have been involved in a lot of cases in this country. I have defended a lot of people.  During the run-up to the 2015 elections, I was one of the lawyers hired on pro bono basis to defend the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Muhammadu Buhari. We employed all the tactics available, employable and allowable in the legal profession; why didn’t they blame us then?  If we didn’t, the election would not have held. If you do that today, some people, even within the profession, will blame you. I know what I’m talking about.  The election was to hold on a Saturday and Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court, Abuja, said he was going to deliver his judgement on whether or not card readers should be used by the Independent Nation...

Gov. Okorocha & Ike Ekweremadu   While speaking on Sunday night at a victory party to celebrate the outcome of the July 23, 2016 rerun election in two constituencies, the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, said that Senator Ike Ekweremadu should be warming up to lose his seat as the Deputy Senate President.   The governor who is speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, said a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Benjamin Uwajumogu, who contested in last Saturday rerun senatorial election in Imo State, would displace Ekweremadu as soon as he joins the Senate.   According to a report on  Punch Newspaper , he said it would be an aberration for Ekweremadu to still continue to retain his seat as the Deputy Senate President, after Uwajumogu had joined the Senate, adding that with the outcome of the rerun election, Ekweremadu’s seat had come under  “heavy threat.”   The governor who said that Ekweremadu kne...

Image
Military Vs. Militants   In a terse statement released on Tuesday and signed by Tony Iprinye Uranta, the United Niger Delta Energy Development Security Strategy (UNDEDSS) Secretary General, President Muhammadu Buhari, has once again been implored to revive the now-comatose platform of the holistic 2009 Amnesty Dynamic that President Umar Yaradua deployed, to stem the tide dangerously imploding reality of armed agitation in the Niger Delta.    According to  Premium Times , the Federal Government is urged to adopt the successful Yar’Adua template of 2009, by appointing a credible Special Adviser on the region and re-establishing the Niger Delta Committee/Council that operated five sub-Committees to holistically and sustainably address the challenges identified in the region. “UNDEDSS and other leading stakeholders in the region have tirelessly interfaced with very senior members of this Administration and given them a detailed template the President sho...

Buhari Insists in Another Interview - Aisha Should Stay Out of Politics, She Belongs in My Kitchen

Image
On Friday, the internet went in frenzy buzing with mixed reactions and criticisms after President Muhammadu Buhari said his wife belonged in the kitchen, and  “the other room,”  apparently a euphemism for the bedroom.   Recall that the president made the above comment at a press conference after a closed-door meeting, with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, in response to an interview his wife, Aisha granted the BBC, where she said that his government had been hijacked, adding that she might not support her husband under the present circumstances if he seeks re-election in 2019.   Buhari in his reaction had stated;  “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but my wife belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room. “It is not easy to do away with opposition or people who did not follow you along your campaign trail. I hope my wife will remember that I was on the field for 12 years; I tried three times, the fourth time I ...
