Breaking: Court Sacks Makarfi, Reinstates Ali Modu Sheriff

A Federal High Court in Lagos has nullified the national caretaker committee constituted by the Peoples Democratic Party during last Saturday’s convention.
 
The convention had appointed a former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi, as acting chairman, while a former Senator, Ben Obi, was appointed acting national secretary.
 
The party said the acting national officers would be in office for three months.
 
In a ruling on Tuesday however, Justice Ibrahim Buba ordered Ali Modu Sheriff, the erstwhile chairman of the party to continue serving as the party’s chairman.

Ekweremadu Will be Replaced by Uwajumogu as Deputy Senate President - Okorocha

Deeper Life Church Ordered to Pay Celestial Church N5million

The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division has ordered the Registered Trustees of Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) to pay N5 million as damages for trespass on land owned by the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC). This means that the Appeal Court upheld an earlier judgement by a Lagos High Court.     It was gathered that the CCC had, through its representative, Joseph Ebhodaghe, sued DCLM over a disputed land measuring approximately 1055.864 square meters, situated at Mulero area of Agege and registered as No. 75 Volume 2004T at the Lagos State Land Registry, Ikeja.   At the High Court, Justice Candide-Johnson in a judgment delivered on January 17, 2014, declared Celestial Church as the rightful owner of the disputed land and awarded N5m as damages against Deeper Life.   The court also granted a perpetual injunction restraining DCLM, its agents or servants from further trespass on the disputed land.   But, DCLM dissatisfied with the ...

The video which was uploaded on YouTube channel called PrankGenerator shows the host asking a lot of ladies in the street to show their boobs on camera for $100.      Although some were shy, they agreed but to their surprise, the money wasn't real and the whole thing was a set up prank. Suspected One Million Boys Armed Robbery-gang Members Arrested Trying to Rob a Church During Vigil (Photos)

Three young men suspected to be members of the dreaded One Million Boys armed-robbery gang have been arrested by the police as they planned to rob a church during night vigil. The suspected armed robbers arrested by the police   Policemen in Lagos have arrested three suspected members of One Million boys armed-robbery gang terrorizing the Badagry area of Lagos State. The three men arrested are: Sodiq Yinusa, Azeez Ajadi and Idris Abdulganiyu.   It was gathered that the suspects were apprehended by the Area K Command, Morogbo, while they were allegedly attempting to rob a church in the J4 area of Seme, Badagry, during a vigil. The policemen also recovered a double-barreled locally-made pistol and a toy gun from the suspects.   However, the armed-robbers have denied they came to rob.
