The Phone on the Bench by Double J

Several men are in the changing room of Ikoyi golf club in Lagos. 


Then a mobile phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands free speaker-function and began to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen.
MAN: "Hello
WOMAN: "Darling, it's me. Are you at the club?"
MAN: "Yes"
WOMAN: "What’s wrong with your voice darling?
MAN: "Nothing really, just tired!
WOMAN: "Ok. I am at the ShopRite shopping mall inside wranglers and found this beautiful Versace leather coat. It's only =N=119,000. Is it OK if I buy it?"
MAN: "Sure,…go ahead if you like it that much.
WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the new 2016 model. I saw one I really liked."
MAN: "How much?"
WOMAN: "=N=28,000,000"
MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."
WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing ... The house I wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking =N=148,500,000. Its at Victoria Garden City, the house is so beautiful!
MAN: "Well, then go ahead and give them an offer of =N=148,000,000. They will probably take it. If not, we can go the extra 500 thousand. It really is a pretty good price.
WOMAN: "OK. I'll see you later! I love you so much!!"
MAN: "Bye! I love you, too."
The man hangs up. The other men in the changing room are staring at him in astonishment, mouths agape...
He smiles and asks: "Does anyone know the owner of this phone?"

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ondo State has suffered a set back as two former commissioners, Local government Chairmen and two former Lawmakers defected to the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC.    They claimed that over 5000 of former PDP chieftains dumped the ruling party for the opposition Party according to the Vanguard. SSS 2 Student is Stabbed to Death During Football Match in Lagos

    A young boy has been stabbed to death during a friendly street football match in Okota, Lagos after the match turned violent.   One of the players stabbed an opponent to death at the weekend when the misunderstanding started.   According to Vanguard, some youths from Oseni Liade Street were playing football at the end of the street, when a group of boys from neighbouring Taiwo Street came to join them. But the visiting youths were told to wait for their turn.   At the end of the first round, another set of players, among who were the visiting youths, were expected to take over the football pitch.   But eyewitnesses said they were disallowed, an action that degenerated into a fight. The controversy surrounding the probe of the $2 billion dollars shady arms deal has continued to gather more steam as the EFFC uncovers more embezzled funds.
