Man Proposes to His Girlfriend in the Midst of Sharks Deep in the Ocean (Photos+Video)

Many people would consider this so bizarre, but not Ulises Flores who proposed to his girlfriend Cassie Jensen while scuba diving off the coast of Florida.

 

In fact, he proposed in the midst of sharks right deep in the ocean.

 

According to Dailymail, amazing footage filmed by a friend captured the romantic moment that sees the couple kneeling on the ocean floor as Flores holds a ring out to his partner.

 

 

Large sharks and endless smaller fish swim around them in the majestic and magical video. Completed in silence - although a soundtrack was later added - Jensen takes the ring from her boyfriend's proffered box and places it on her finger before admiring it.

 

They seem entirely unfazed by the sharks circling them - and the animals aren't afraid to get closer with some of the toothy fish brushing right past them. 

 

The pair even kiss underwater, removing their mouthpieces to seal their promise to each other.

 

 

Jensen  - a self-professed 'shark lover' and scuba enthusiast -  uploaded the stunning footage to Facebook, writing, 'Video tells a different story than a still photo, but both are special ways to remember such a momentous occasion. 

 

'I am mesmerized by the video and can't stop watching how the action unfolded. We will cherish both our photos and videos for our lifetime.'

Of course many friends have flocked to the footage to share their appreciation of it. 

 

'Wow! that was crazy!!!!!!!! I think the shark wanted your sparkly ring!!! congrats!' one person wrote.

 

Another commented, 'Tears of happiness for you guys! I loved when you two first kissed and the dorsal came cruising by'.

A third joked 'I guess you pass the zone of danger as a couple.'
