Vice Chancellor of UNIJOS Narrowly Escapes Death

Prof. Sebastian Maimako, the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, on Wednesday narrowly escaped death.
 
The man was nearly killed after some gunmen invaded his private residence in Eto Baba area of Jos North.
 
According to The Punch, the gunmen who were said to have attacked the house at about 8.30pm on Wednesday, were however, not able to penetrate the house.
 
According to the report, the vice chancellor who assumed office in June, was out of the country as of the time of the attack.
 
Two of the VC’s guards were not as lucky as their boss as they were killed by the gunmen.
 
Maimako took over as the VC on June 22, succeeding Prof. Hayward Mafuyai.
