Another robbery suspect has been lynched in Aba, Abia state after he was nabbed in a failed operation. This increases the number of jungle justice cases recorded in the last couple of days.
 
According to the social media user who posted the news, his team was confronted by an organised vigilant group who repelled their invasion. Others escaped while this unlucky robber was caught and lynched summarily.

"Around 1am today these guys stormed into one popular community (Umuode Village) at Aba, shooting sporadically. Unfortunately for them, the guys living around that area were always prepared for robbers, hence there was exchange of bullets among both parties. 

So unfortunately for this one, he was caught by the group who brutally killed him to serve as a deterrent to other aspiring robbers in the locality"

Gunmen Abducted Paramount Ruler’s Pregnant Wife

Chief Asuquo Abia, the Secretary, Traditional Rulers Council, Esit Eket, told NAN in Esit Eket on Saturday that the gunmen invaded the palace of the paramount ruler in the wee hours of Friday morning. No fewer than 10 unknown gunmen on Friday night kidnapped the pregnant wife of Ubong Assam, the paramount ruler of Esit Eket in Akwa Ibom. The gunmen also abducted the four children of the traditional ruler. Abia, who is also the Village Head of Afaha Akpenedi, said the gunmen shot sporadically for over five hours from 1.30 a.m. to 6 a.m. “The gunmen destroyed part of the palace with dynamites and broke into all the rooms and carted away valuables,’’ he said. He said the gunmen arrived at the palace on Thursday claiming to be policemen from Abuja on an investigation. “They later came back the next day around 1.30 a.m. and shot sporadically till 6 a.m. in the morning,’’ Abia said. Joint Task Force Arrests Top Commander of Niger Delta Militant Group

  A top Commander of the Urhobo/Isoko militant group, Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGJM), has been nabbed by the operatives of the Joint Task Force (JTF) code-named Operation Delta Safe.   It would be recalled that the NDGJM kickstarted full scale militant operations in the oil rich region after the foremost group Niger Delta Avengers announced a ceasefire after a tentative agreement with the Federal Government. Security sources told ThisDay newspaper on Monday night that the high profile suspect was apprehended on Sunday after diligent surveillance by JTF operatives. The suspect, whose name could not be ascertained at the time of this report, was said to have been arrested along with four of his foot soldiers.
