FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who is presently in Nigeria for a short visit was made to rock a Nigerian traditional outfit as he stepped out for a dinner last night in Abuja.



The gala dinner held in Abuja for his support of football development in Africa.

The FIFA boss and Secretary General Fatma Samoura, who are in the country on a two-day visit -were honoured at the special dinner eventNigeria’s political heavyweights and captains of industry.

FCT Police Arrest Fake Mad Man with Locally Made Pistol

A man arrested by the police with a locally made pistol and wraps of marijuana has surprised policemen by pretending to be mentally deranged.   The FCT Police Command said it had arrested a male suspect who pretended to be a lunatic on Jan. 20 around the Apo bridge.   Mr Wilson Inalegwu, the FCT Commissioner of Police, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen on Monday in Abuja. Inalegwu said that the suspect was apprehended by a police patrol team on a stop-and-search duty, following a tip-off.   He said that when the Police operatives searched him, a locally made pistol and a polythene bag containing wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from him.   He advised members of the public to always report any suspicious movement to the police. The commissioner said that the Apo Division was investigating the matter.
