                           NYSC Abia Orientation Camps

The NYSC scheme was created in a bid to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild the country after the Nigerian Civil war. The unfortunate antecedents in our national history gave impetus to the establishment of the National Youth Service Corps by decree No.24 of 22nd May 1973 which stated that the NYSC is being established "with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of national unity".

A group of reckless bullies have humiliated, beaten and stripped a fellow teenager in public while recording the act on camera. The students humiliating and beating the student in public   Another horrific bullying video has recently surfaced from China showing a group of teenagers beating and stripping a female student in public.   The teenage, a girl from the city of Hengshui in Anping County was filmed being savagely beaten by a group of several girls then stripped to her underwear, reports the People's Daily Online.   She was stripped and beaten mercilessly   The incident took place on January 21, but it wasn't until February 3 that the video went viral online. The alleged Niger Delta militant killed by the Army on Friday   This is the photos of a Niger Delta militant killed by the Nigerian Army in Bakassi, Cross River State during a gun battle on Friday.   The Army had reported that its troops at the early hours of Friday, repelled an attack on its soldiers by killing seven armed militants at Efut Esighi in Bakassi local government area of Cross River State.     Capt. Kayode Owolabi, Army Public Relations Officer who disclosed this to newsmen on Friday in Calabar, said the militants attacked the Army post in Efut Esighi.       Owolabi linked the militants to be `boys’ of the most wanted militant leader, Benjamin Ene a.k.a `G1’, who has been on the wanted list of security agencies in the state.

Kemi Olunloyo and Dayo Amusa   A brutal social media war is raging online as controversial and uncouth social media user, Kemi Olunloyo engaged popular Yoruba actress, Dayo Amusa on a social media war as the two disgraced each other using expletives.   The drama started after Kemi Olunloyo threatened Jide Kosoko's daughter for calling  her out after she accused her father of being a ritualist. See the Korean Statue of Jesus Christ That Everyone Is Talking About (Photo)

A statue of Jesus in Korea is causing a lot of reaction on social media because of its unusual depiction of the Christ.     This photo above has caused ripples online after it emerged recently.   The cause of reaction is the unsually muscular depiction of Jesus. Many internet users have argued that if Jesus Christ was that huge, he would probably not have been crucified at all. In fact, many opined that the opposite would have been the case as Jesus would have been the one crushing the people with his strength.   The photo was shared by an IMGUR user by the username, Geekologie.   He said:  "This is a Korean crucifix featuring a very muscular Jesus. I'm not entirely sure where it's located, but presumably outside the Church of Gains. Honestly, if Jesus really did look like that there probably never would have been a crucifixion, just 'the day Jesus killed all the Romans swinging a cross.'"

Good Deed: Police Officer Who Rescued the Kidnapped Lagos Schoolgirls Gets Presidential Honour (Photos)

Police officer who made headlines for helping initiate the processes that led to the rescue of the schoolgirls kidnapped in Lagos has been honoured    Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau and CSP Abba Kyari   Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, on Friday, March 31, honoured CSP Abba Kyari, the police officer who was behind the team that led the Special Intelligence Response Team that rescued the 3 abducted school girls in Ikorodu, with a Presidential Award for Courage.   It will be recalled that CSP Kyari led the operation that rescued the kidnappedgirls on March 6th.   CSP Kyari also led the team that rescued the mother of Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, who was abducted in Delta state in 2012.   It is an honour well deserved.   See more photos below:
