Britain could be at war in Syria next week - amid claims ISIS fanatics are planning a nuclear attack. The Government's Strategic Defence and Security Review yesterday outlined the terror group's plans to build a dirty bomb using nuclear, chemical or biological weapons.
A Commons vote could be held as early as next Tuesday - with RAF bombing raids following within hours. David Cameron promised to publish a dossier this Thursday pushing the case for the UK joining the blitz on jihadis in Syria.
He told MPs: "Members will be able to take it away, consider it over the weekend, and then we go to having a full day's debate and proper consideration and vote."
The vote could be early next week if the Government are confident of getting a majority - which may include Labour MPs defying their anti-war leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Mr Cameron warned: "We shouldn't take too long. Every day that we spend is a day that we're not getting to grips with the ISIL menace."
The PM, who spoke to servicemen at RAF Northolt on the way back from visiting French president Francois Hollande, unveiled the first major security shakeup in five years yesterday.
