Catholic church's Pope Francis has arrived Kenya amid songs and cheers from thousands of faithfuls who came out to witness the event.
 
Pope Francis arrived Kenya today. It is the first leg of his three-nation tour to Africa which will also take him to Uganda and the Central African Republic.
 
The Pontiff was welcomed at the airport by President Uhuru Kenyatta amid a carnival atmosphere.
 
Many people are using the #PopeInKenya hashtag on Twitter to talk about Pope Francis' arrival in Kenya.

  In a video posted on Twitter, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has released the footage of its latest raid and aerial attack on the base of militants in the Arepo area of Ogun state in an operation which was code-named ‘Operation Awatse’.   The video clip showed two aircraft hovering over a militant camp, which had at least 15 armed men.   The police officer caught while stealing   A police officer has been filmed stealing things from a passenger's suitcase at the airport. The shocking incident happened at the ANR Robinson International Airport on the Caribbean island of Tobago.   According to  TrinidadExpress.com , officer Brian Stephens was caught leading a sniffer dog around the airport luggage area as he opened and removed items from the bag. After that, he opens another looking for items.    Luck however ran out on him after he was filmed following an investigation launched after numerous European passengers reported items including cameras and clothing had gone missing when they arrived at London Gatwick.   The officer pleaded guilty to three counts of misbehaviour in public office in October 2008, but he was spared jail and instead issued with a $150,000 fine (£17,0000). Former Minister of Transport, Idris Umar   Following media reports suggesting that he fraudulently acquired properties in Dubai,  United Arab Emirates, a  former Minister of Transport in the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, Idris Umar has denied the reports. Mr. Umar also denied stories that he had relocated to the gulf nation and was taking refuge there. The former Minister, however, said in a release issued issued by his media aide, Innocent Ebirim, that the former Senator “does not own any property in Dubai and he is in Abuja at his usual place of abode and has no reason whatsoever to hide in faraway Dubai”. Nigerian Airforce Finally Unveils Plan to End Boko Haram Insurgency

The end of the six year turbulent reign of Boko Haram seems to be gradually drawing to a close as efforts are currently being intensified to launch aerial attacks on the sect.    The Nigerian Airforce (NAF) has revealed plans to expand its platforms in the northeastern Nigeria in its bid to improve the aerial bombardments of terrorists targets.   Making this disclosure was chief of air staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar, who noted during a visit to military formations and traditional institutions in Borno state, that “the Nigerian Air Force is exploring the possibility of expanding the Air Force group in the North-East to ensure the total restoration of peace is achieved in the shortest time possible. “With the planned expansions more personnel will be deployed and more platforms created to widen our operations towards timely and speedy response in counter-insurgency campaigns. “We are already widening the roles of our regiments as ...
