Lady Cries Out After Nasarawa State Govt Fired Her Over Criticisms on Facebook (Photos)

A Nigerian civil servant has been abruptly relieved of her duties for taking to social media to announce the death of her colleague who died in the line of duty.

Ruqayyat Tijani Usman, pictured above, lost her civil service job with the Nasarawa State government Ministry of Justice on Thursday after she blasted them on Facebook and the government got to know about it. 
 
She however took to Twitter last night to break the news.

Ruqqayat had gotten furious when news broke that her close friend who was a medical doctor named Ibrahim Oshafu at Dalhatu Specialist Hospital (DASH) Lafia, Nassarawa state was confirmed dead after treating a patient with Lassa Fever.

DASH is the only specialist hospital owned by the Nassarawa state government.

At that time also, organised Labour in Nasarawa was on industrial action over non payment of salaries, half payment of salaries to local government workers and non payment of staff benefits.

An infuriated Ruqqayat expressed her disappointment on Facebook only for it to cost her her job.

Man Beheads His Own Mom on Mother's Day

Josh Webb killed his mother   Police in Oregon say a man entered a grocery store over the weekend while carrying the severed head of his mother before allegedly stabbing a cashier seven times.   According to Inside Edition, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office arrested 36-year-old Josh Webb and charged him with murder and attempted murder after the horrific scene unfolded at the Estacada Thriftway outside Portland.   In a 911 call placed at about 2 p.m. Sunday, the caller reported a male had entered the store, soaked in blood and holding a knife and what looked like a human head.   Before the shock had a chance to register with witnesses, the scene somehow grew more terrifying as cops say the assailant stabbed a cashier multiple times with the bloody knife, according to KGW.    In a subsequent 911 call, a witness told the operator that employees had restrained the assailant and requested medical help for the victim.   Minut...

The burial of the former governor of Kogi state and candidate of the APC in the inconclusive governorship poll in the state , Prince Abubakar Audu, takes place today at Ogbonicha in Ofu Local Government Area. Audu was buried at 2 pm Monday afternoon. The burial rites were conducted by a team of Imams . Before his burial, men and women of faith engaged in fervent prayers to bring Audu back to life. As the prayers continued, some people started shouting loudly that he had risen. This led to assertions that Audu came back to life. Rumours quickly spread wide.
