Vulcanizer Hangs Himself to Death in Lagos (Photos)

A man known around his community as a vulcanizer, has committed suicide after apparently getting frustrated with life.
 
 
The vulcanizer, identified as Fatai Sulemon, reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself on Saturday morning, 20th February 2016.
 
This happened at 26 Olorunda Sreet, Ijaiye bus-stop close to Amadiya on Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

Naira Recovers Against the Dollar in the Parallel Market...See Current Value

The naira has resumed its recovery against the dollar in the black market after suffering a setback.   There are strong indications that the efforts of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stabilise the naira may have started yielding the expected results according to the Leadership. A CBN official last week noted that the deployment of a number measures by the bank may have turned the tide in the foreign exchange (FOREX) market and led to the severe punishment suffered by currency hoarders and speculators. The CBN had earlier insisted that speculators were behind the market bubble since the upper week which dealt negatively on the naira, sending it down to an all-time low of almost N400 to the dollar. The Naira has continued in its speedy recovery against the dollar in the parallel market as customers are beginning to adapt to the economic realities.     Foreign currency speculators, who launched an unprecedented attack against the naira in the last two weeks, got their fingers burnt on Tuesday when the nation’s currency staged a major recovery, rising to N310 to a dollar at the close of business, compared to N375 at which it sold on Monday.
