Yahaya Bello Appoints New SSG, Accountant General & 20 Special Advisers

The newly inaugurated Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, has appointed a new Secretary to the State Government, new Accountant-General, 20 new Special Advisers and 3 Senior Special Assistants.

A statement released by David Onoja, the chief of staff to governor of Kogi state, revealed that Governor Yahaya Bello, has appointed Folashade Ayoade as the new Secretary to the State Government, and that Momoh Jubril was also named as the new Accountant-General of the state.
 
20 new Special Advisers and 3 Senior Special Assistants on print media, electronic and new media, were among the list of appointees included in the statement.
 
The statement said the new Senior Special Assistant on print media is Ademu Idako, who was until the appointment, the correspondent of the Newswatch Daily and chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Kogi.
 
While Petra Onyebule and Gbenga Olorunpomi are the new Senior Special Assistants on Electronic Media and New Media respectively.
 
Also appointed are Olusola Okutimo, a retired brigadier-general, as the Security Adviser to the governor, Ibrahim Mohammed, Legal Adviser and Abdulkareem Mohammed as the Director-General, Protocol.
 
The governor also approved the appointment of five special assistants for the deputy governor.

Professor Ade Ajayi’s book on Crowther, source of this letter   Ajayi Crowther was ordained as the first African bishop of the Anglican Church. However, his background was rough. He was 12 years old when he was captured, along with his mother and toddler brother and other family members, along with his entire village, by Muslim Fulani slave raiders in 1821 and sold to Portuguese slave traders. In his Feb 22nd, 1837 letter to Rev. Boko Haram Bleeds Profusely as Gallant Nigerian Troops Strike Again (Graphic Photos)

  Read the official statement below:   Troops of 26 Battalion, 151 Task Force Battalion, 155 Task Force Battalion and some elements of 21 Brigade have carried out a joint clearance operations to destroy remnants of Boko Haram terrorists camps and enclaves in the early hours of today in several villages in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.   The villages include Kircha Goniye, Wujjah Alkelu, Kita Jiddum, Jameri, Geri Gana, Gere Kura and Jabe. Other villages cleared by the troops were Hasana Jere and Chachile. During the operation, own troops came in contact with elements of the terrorists group during which 2 of the terrorists were killed.
