Tension As EFCC Seals Borno State House of Assembly Over Allegations of Corruption

The Borno State House of Assembly has been taken over by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations of corruption.

The Borno State House of Assembly has been invaded by operatives of the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, a Daily Post report has shown.
 
The report said residents of Shehuri ward where the House of Assembly is located revealed that legislators abandoned the floor of the house when security operatives alleged to be men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC came to arrest some of the members.

According to them, some of the legislators escaped on foot while others were quick to sneak out before the security operative sealed off the Assembly over alleged corruption.

There was no legislator to speak to as at press time, even as rumour has it that the EFCC has succeeded in arresting some politicians in the state.

However, situation around the Borno Assembly is said to be tense

A university lover boy has brutally stabbed his schoolmate to death during a fight over a girl after bumping into each other in the girl's room. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the deceased was buried after a commendation service by the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) on Saturday. Speaking at the burial ceremony, Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa said Alamieyeseigha’s demise was a trying time to the people of Ijaw nation. Nigerians have been quick to point out a glaring error made by one of Nigeria's foremost Television outlets, Silverbird TV.     While giving a report on a gruesome killing in Rivers state where armed men killed an APC chieftain by beheading him,  Silverbird Television made an error which has gotten Nigerians talking on social media.   See what the media outlet posted below:     Instead of simply writing: "Rivers Boils as Gunmen Behead Politician" the media outlet wrote: "Rivers Boils as Gunmen Behead Politicians 'Head'"    Upon sighting the error, Nigerians immediately took to social media to joke about it.   One Matthew Enejo wrote: Soon these editors will start beheading our legs with this type of grammar...lol"   Enejo indeed echoed the thoughts of many other commenters.
