The trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal resumed today with a change of rules and regulations during the case hearing for the purpose of orderliness. Former Governor of Kebbi State, Saidu Dakingari, has been arrested and detained by the Kano Zone of the EFCC. The man is currently being quizzed for his alleged involvement in the sharing of N450 million PDP campaign slush fund. He is also being asked to explain how another amount of N550 million state funds were diverted to his party, the PDP, during the 2015 presidential campaigns. According to ThisDay, a statement made available on Thursday by media head of Kano Zone of EFCC, Mr Medard Ehimika, said Dakingari is cooperating with operatives in the investigations. The statement said more details will emerge when more facts are available.

The woman named Jacinta was allegedly beaten to death by her husband, James Uguru, over adultery.
