#DasukiGate: See the Pretty Lady Witness Who Told Court She Helped Olisa Metuh Exchange $2m (Photo)

Embattled PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh who is standing trial for allegedly collecting N400 million from ex NSA, Dasuki's office has been dealt with another blow in court today in Abuja.

At a Federal High Court in Abuja today, two witnesses brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), told the court how the embattled spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, and his company, Dextra Investments Limited, transferred the sum of $2million collected from the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
 
Nneka Ararume, the first prosecution witness who is a wealth manager dealing in management of equities, fixed income instruments and real estate, said she collected the sum of $2 million dollars from Olisa Metuh sometime in December 2014.
 
 
She added that she changed the dollars into Nigerian currency and had it transferred to Metuh’s account. "He gave me the sum of $2m in $100 bills. It was taken to bureau de change operators who would then transfer the money to ARM. From there (Metuh’s house) I proceeded to Mr. Sie Iyenome’s office at Wuse 2 where I gave him the sum of $1m.

I also invited Mr. Kabir Mohammed and I also gave him the sum of $1m to transfer the naira equivalent in favour of Destra Investment Limited. Later on the same day, December 2, 2014, Mr. Kabir and Mr. Sie Iyenome confirmed the receipt," she said.
 
A bureau de change operator who is the second witness, said he had the sum of $1 million dollars exchanged to N183 million and transferred to the account of Dextra Investments Limited. He disclosed that he had no knowledge of either Metuh or his company, Dextra investment Limited, before that time.
 
Both witnesses were cross-examined by the defence counsel as the trial was later adjourned till tomorrow for the prosecution to call more witnesses.
 
The prosecuting counsel said he had 16 more witnesses.

Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode Lagos State Government may soon join the growing number of states including Edo, Ogun and Anambra that have imposed death sentence on kidnappers, Vanguard reports. According to a private member bill sponsored by the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Mudashiru Obasa, “any person, who kidnaps, abducts, detains or captures or takes another person by any means or tricks with intent to demand ransom or do anything against his/her, will commit an offence, and liable to a conviction of death sentence. Stuart Bennett   An artist, Stuart Bennett, has hanged himself after no one attended the launch of his new art project which he had spent a lot of time on. 58-year-old Bennett, organised an opening day at his studio because he wanted to start teaching art to children.
