Drama as Man Beats Cheating-wife to Death After Lover Hiding in the Bedroom Escaped

A tragedy has taken place in Ebonyi State after a Lagos-based man punched his wife to death for cheating on him.

It was sadness and drama during the weekend in Ndubia Inyimaegu community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State as a man punched his wife to death.

 

The woman named Jacinta was allegedly beaten to death by her husband, James Uguru, over adultery.  

 

It was gathered that Uguru who is based in Lagos had come to the village to visit his wife after he had heard many rumours of her promiscuity each time he comes back to visit his wife and family staying in the village. 

 

Trouble started when the couple were discussing in the sitting room and when suddenly a phone started ringing in their bedroom. The phone which does not belong to any of them rang for sometime. The husband made to go for the phone, his wife held his waist, preventing him from moving. 

 

However, as the wife held Ugwu, the wife’s alleged lover ran out from their bedroom which shocked Ugwu who didn't even know someone was in the bedroom. His wife insisted that he should not chase after the man which made Ugwu angrier that he vent his anger on her. 

 

A source said: “He started punching the woman, who eventually collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.”  

 

It was gathered that Ugwu had been suspecting the wife and she kept denying it. 

 

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, ASP George Okafor, revealed that the suspect had angrily beaten his wife to stupor when the deceased stopped him from chasing after her alleged lover boy. The suspect has been arrested as efforts were on to arrest the said lover boy.
