Touching photos has caught the shocking moment a father cradled his dead 5-month old baby after an accident killed his wife.
 
The man who caused the accident, a Russian tourist was arrested yesterday morning for allegedly killing a Thai woman and her five-month-old daughter in a road accident in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district, The Nation Thailand reports.
 
 
The tourist identified as Konstantin Volk was arrested in Soi Kasetpan while he was allegedly trying to flee in a Honda Civic after the accident. 
 
Police suspect he was drunk and speeding when he crashed into two motorcycles that had stopped at a traffic light in South Pattaya at around 3.40am.
 
Amphai Inwan died at the scene. Her five-month-old daughter died at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. Amphai's flower-vendor husband Thanongsak, a two-year-old girl and a taxi motorcyclist were severely injured.
 
 
Police conducted a blood alcohol test on Volk to determine if he would also be charged with drunk driving

The ongoing trial of former NIMASA Director-General Patrick Akpobolokemi over the misappropriation of government funds has continued to reveal mind-boggling revelations. Patrick Akpobolokemi A prosecution witness, Mr Emeka Emelano, Tuesday told the Federal High Court in Lagos that he did not ask why the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) paid his company N72million even though it did not bid for any contract, the Nation reports.
