Gunmen Attack Bus, R*pe Female Passengers to Coma

Some female travelers have been r*ped to coma by gunmen who attacked their bus along the Enugu -9th Mile – Makurdi Expressway.
 
The gunmen carried out the attack at the early hours of Thursday.
 
According to Daily Post, the heavily armed gunmen ambushed the fully loaded luxurious bus heading from Aba to Yola around 2am, few kilometres to the Pepsi bottling company in 9th Mile, Enugu State.
 
It was observed that the victims, numbering over 50, were robbed of their money and other valuables.
 
The four tyres of the bus, belonging to a popular transport company, were deflated and the passengers were left stranded in the middle of the road.
 
The Enugu State Police Command could not be reached for comment at the time of this report

Chief Asuquo Abia, the Secretary, Traditional Rulers Council, Esit Eket, told NAN in Esit Eket on Saturday that the gunmen invaded the palace of the paramount ruler in the wee hours of Friday morning. No fewer than 10 unknown gunmen on Friday night kidnapped the pregnant wife of Ubong Assam, the paramount ruler of Esit Eket in Akwa Ibom.
