INEC Makes Important Announcement Over the Results of Edo Guber Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has called on Nigerians to disregard results being posted on the social media on the Edo State governorship election.
The Commission added that only results released by the it or its designated officials are genuine.
“It has come to the attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission that some persons, especially on social media have started publishing result of the Edo governorship election, such result should be disregarded as only INEC or its designated officials can do so,” INEC said in a tweet.
According to Punch, voting has been concluded and ballot papers have been sorted and counted at many polling units across the state, but INEC has yet to start the collation of results
