Photos from the '1 Million March' for APC Candidate, Godwin Obaseki

 
A Million March was held today, 26th of September at the Edo State capital in Benin city for the APC candidate, Godwin Obaseki ahead of Edo state governorship election which is less than 48hrs away.
 
Several pressure groups and trade unions poured out en masse to support Obaseki who has received impressive endorsements ahead of the election on the 28th of September, 2016.
 
It is not clear if the crowd was able to hit the one million benchmark as they looked scantily far from the figure.

Naira Recovers Against the Dollar in the Parallel Market...See Current Value

The naira has resumed its recovery against the dollar in the black market after suffering a setback.   There are strong indications that the efforts of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stabilise the naira may have started yielding the expected results according to the Leadership. A CBN official last week noted that the deployment of a number measures by the bank may have turned the tide in the foreign exchange (FOREX) market and led to the severe punishment suffered by currency hoarders and speculators. The CBN had earlier insisted that speculators were behind the market bubble since the upper week which dealt negatively on the naira, sending it down to an all-time low of almost N400 to the dollar. Many Heads of agencies sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari have blatantly refused to handover or vacate their seats in defiance to the sack announced by the president. The Naira has continued in its speedy recovery against the dollar in the parallel market as customers are beginning to adapt to the economic realities.     Foreign currency speculators, who launched an unprecedented attack against the naira in the last two weeks, got their fingers burnt on Tuesday when the nation’s currency staged a major recovery, rising to N310 to a dollar at the close of business, compared to N375 at which it sold on Monday. Transgender man (left) who was born a woman gave birth to a baby with his partner (right) who was born a man   Fernando Machado who was born a woman and his partner, Diane Rodriguez who was born a man, have welcomed their first baby as they make history to become the first transgender couple in South America to give birth to their own baby.   According to  Dailymail , the new parents, from Ecuador, in an exclusive interview, opened up about life with their new baby who they have not named, but the 16-week-old is affectionately referred to as Caraote - which means 'the snail' .   The couple and their baby   'We are the same as other families.
