BBC Journalist Joins Nigerian Soldiers in the North-East to Fight Boko Haram (Photos)

A white journalist has linked up with the Nigerian troops in Maiduguri, Borno state to monitor first hand reports on the battle against insurgency.
Martin Patience

BBC correspondent, Martin Patience was pictured with Nigerian army on patrol in the combat zone in the north in a mission to access the level of progress made so far by Nigerian army in the north ahead of the December deadline earlier given by President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.

He was given utmost security by highly equipped soldiers in jeeps mounted both at the back and front of his convoy as he entered the insurgent zone. His reports will probably be out sooner.
