In one of our training sessions,my mentor collected a Nokia torch hand set with fully charged battery. He brought a fresh egg. Then he puts the egg and the handset together and place them into a polythene bag. He tied the bag and told us to call the phone number..... Calling....calling.. ..busy.. busy. When the battery is drained down, he gave the phone to the owner and cracked the egg. Behold the egg was cooked!!.. done!!!. We were surprised and asked for the explanation. He told us that every handset emits electromagnetic rays. That it was the rays that was responsible for cooking of that egg. He also said that for device to be named " hand set " by international bodies is not by accident. He said that it is never a pocket set. He went on to say that males (men) have egg resemblance in between their legs...scrotum. He admonished men to stop putting their hand set in their pockets, but to hold on hand. If you continue t...
Actress Chioma Chukwuka (Photo: Sebeccly care centre) More women are aware of their breast health and breast cancer, however some damaging myths exist that misinform women on the benefits of early detection and seeking prompt care. Here are just a few: Myth1: Breast cancer is a death sentence and there are no cancer survivors Truth: Being diagnosed with breast cancer is NOT a death sentence. With the scientific and social progress in breast cancer care, more women are surviving breast cancer in Nigeria and worldwide. A lot of Nigerian women after treatment are able to resume work and normal activities, get pregnant, have children and live a happy life. The mortality rate is high because of the late stage at presentation, survivorship barriers (affordability, accessibility and availability of cancer care) and the aggressive biology of breast cancer. If more patients present with early stage disease, receive prompt and effective treatment there would b...
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho on BBC Sport: “It is not the result we wanted but it is a positive result, it is a result that stops a direct opponent getting three points at home so not a bad result. “The game was difficult for both teams but for longer periods it was more difficult for them than us. “We controlled the game not just tactically but the emotion of the game, that was probably the quietest Anfield I had and I was expecting it to be the other way. “I think was a positive performance. “If you analyse the game see the reason why did it, playing Young and Fellaini. We had control of the game – there were two amazing saves by David de Gea it’s true but they were out of context. “The reaction from their crowd was permanent disappointment. People expected us to come here and be really in trouble, which we were not. “The team was always comfortable, we lacked a little bit of sharpness in more attacking positions. There was a moment I thought abo...
Louis van Gaal brushed aside scathing criticism from the former Manchester United players Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes after the 2-0 Europa League defeat to Liverpool. Only the heroics of David de Gea prevented a landslide at Anfield, although he was beaten by a first-half Daniel Sturridge penalty and a late close-range strike from Roberto Firmino. “It was shambolic ... so bad,” Scholes told BT Sport. “ Tonight was a disaster. Liverpool had a way of playing. United? I didn’t have a clue what they were trying to do. “United have spent £250m [under Van Gaal] ... they are sixth in the Premier League and have ended up in the Europa League,” added Scholes. “They should be competing with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich [in the Champions League]. United didn’t need a new philosophy, they had one for 20-odd years that worked,” he added in reference to the 38 major trophies won under Sir Alex Ferguson before he retired in 2013. Ferdinand was equally sc...
