Kaduna APC suspends Senator Shehu Saninb

All Progressives Congress (APC), Tudun Wada North ward 6 of Kaduna State has suspended the membership of Senator Shehu Sani from the party, accusing him of criticising the policies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The letter of suspension dated December 27, 2015, was made available to newsmen yesterday and it was signed by the ward Secretary of the APC, Ahmed Abudulhamid .
The letter also accused Senator Shehu Sani of factionalising the party in the State.
However, Senator Sani’s spokesman on politics, Suleiman Ahmed said, “They writers of the letter are ignorant of the constitution of the party”, adding, “The letter will not deter Senator Sani from challenging governor El-Rufai over any policy that is anti-people.
Recalled that Senator Sani and Governor El-Rufai had engaged each other in war of words over what Sani described as El-Rufai’s anti-people policies, particularly the demolition of alleged illegal houses in the State.
The letter also added that the anti-party activities is so pronounced especially criticizing the Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
“There is hardly a week passes by his Group, will not be on the air in criticizing and challenging the enduring legacies of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
” That his statement on National issues is not inconformity with that of the state Governor and Government of Kaduna State.
“That he has remained consistently in confrontation with the good policies of the Government of Kaduna State and considering it anti people’s policy.
“In view of the for going we have unanimously agreed that Senator Shehu Sani representing ward six should be suspended for the period of eleven months and that henceforth he is disengaged in partaking or attending party activities in Kaduna State subject to other punitive measures respectively”. the statement read . The alleged Niger Delta militant killed by the Army on Friday   This is the photos of a Niger Delta militant killed by the Nigerian Army in Bakassi, Cross River State during a gun battle on Friday.   The Army had reported that its troops at the early hours of Friday, repelled an attack on its soldiers by killing seven armed militants at Efut Esighi in Bakassi local government area of Cross River State.     Capt. Kayode Owolabi, Army Public Relations Officer who disclosed this to newsmen on Friday in Calabar, said the militants attacked the Army post in Efut Esighi.       Owolabi linked the militants to be `boys’ of the most wanted militant leader, Benjamin Ene a.k.a `G1’, who has been on the wanted list of security agencies in the state.

Police officer who made headlines for helping initiate the processes that led to the rescue of the schoolgirls kidnapped in Lagos has been honoured    Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau and CSP Abba Kyari   Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, on Friday, March 31, honoured CSP Abba Kyari, the police officer who was behind the team that led the Special Intelligence Response Team that rescued the 3 abducted school girls in Ikorodu, with a Presidential Award for Courage.   It will be recalled that CSP Kyari led the operation that rescued the kidnappedgirls on March 6th.   CSP Kyari also led the team that rescued the mother of Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, who was abducted in Delta state in 2012.   It is an honour well deserved.   See more photos below:
