See Very Fatal Accident Along Isua Akoko-Ibillo Expressway, Ondo State (Graphic Photos)

There was a head-on collision between a truck and a smaller vehicle around Ondo state leading to massive damages on both sides.
 
The crash occurred earlier today between a container carrying truck and another vehicle conveying goods, a few kilometres to the Army checkpoint along Ibillo-Isua Expressway in Akoko, Ondo State.
 
The number of casualties is currently sketchy although there were two corpses at the accident scene. Reports have it that serious injuries were sustained by others involved in the mishap.

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ondo State has suffered a set back as two former commissioners, Local government Chairmen and two former Lawmakers defected to the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC.    They claimed that over 5000 of former PDP chieftains dumped the ruling party for the opposition Party according to the Vanguard. The former commissioners include that of former Adult, Technical and Vocational Education Mrs Kehinde Momoh and that of Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs Mr. Tayo Oluwatuyi.     A young boy has been stabbed to death during a friendly street football match in Okota, Lagos after the match turned violent.   One of the players stabbed an opponent to death at the weekend when the misunderstanding started.   According to Vanguard, some youths from Oseni Liade Street were playing football at the end of the street, when a group of boys from neighbouring Taiwo Street came to join them. But the visiting youths were told to wait for their turn.   At the end of the first round, another set of players, among who were the visiting youths, were expected to take over the football pitch.   But eyewitnesses said they were disallowed, an action that degenerated into a fight.
