A bizarre recording has revealed the strange sounds heard in Mexico, that have been terrifying locals.

A footage has depicted eerie noises that have sparked a panic in Mexico as citizens fear a supernatural phenomenon is taking over a town.

In the footage, captured from an apartment in the city of Acatzingo, long booming sounds echo through a residential neighbourhood.

According to local reports, scientists have recorded underground movements, which might explain the noises, but have reassured local residents that they are not at any risk.

The strange sounds were coming from the ground state of Puebla, Mexico and caused panic on the streets with many believing the city of is haunted.

A woman who calls herself Melody uploaded footage and audio to the internet. She said: "In my parent's house, and other parts of the city, I could hear this strange nose, so many went into a panic, but I decided to record it, as in the video shown, call my parents.

"I decided to share this video to show that there are still things we do not know."

Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode Lagos State Government may soon join the growing number of states including Edo, Ogun and Anambra that have imposed death sentence on kidnappers, Vanguard reports. According to a private member bill sponsored by the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Mudashiru Obasa, “any person, who kidnaps, abducts, detains or captures or takes another person by any means or tricks with intent to demand ransom or do anything against his/her, will commit an offence, and liable to a conviction of death sentence. The Channels Television reporter in Imo State,Mr. Enyitope Kutiyi, was rescued from à thick forest at Uhuba town, in Ohaji/Egbema Council Area of the state.
