Goodluck Jonathan might be out of government as a former president but the Otuoke, Bayelsa-born former governor is still cashing out as his farm in Abuja is now a beehive of activities with fish buyers trooping there on a weeky basis.

According to DailyTrust, Jonathan who started his fish farm located at the Aviation Village, behind the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, early last year, now sells more than 8,000 kilogrammes (over 8 metric tonnes) of fish to wholesale buyers on weekly basis.

Johnson, who is the sales manager of the farm, disclosed that the farm sells fish to buyers on Mondays and Thursdays, adding that the quantity sold used to depend on the number of ponds harvested.

According to him, the fish are categorised into three: large size, weighing 2kg and above, medium size, weighing between 1kg and 2kg and small size which falls below a kilogramme.

He stated that a kilogram of the large fish size was sold for between N650 to N700; medium size goes for N590 to N600 while the small size are sold between N500 to N520, adding that the farm dealt with only wholesale buyers who had the capacity to buy from 1 metric tonnes and above
