The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Crowns new Obalufe
Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has finally crowned Oba Olaniyi Adediwura as new Obalufe amidst tight security. This was as the Aga ruling family of the Obalufe compound has headed for the court, saying their family should be the one to produce the new Obalufe. The first sitting for the case was stalled with the absence of the judge. While crowning the new Obalufe, Ooni Ogunwusi said that Oba Adediwura’s appointment followed the customs and rites expected. The Ooni asked him to support other kingmakers and join him in his agenda to take Ile-Ife and Yoruba nation to an enviable height in the country. The foremost royal father also appealed to all other kingmakers in the ancient city to join hands with new Obalufe to develop Ile Ife.
