Naira Recovers Against the Dollar in the Parallel Market...See Current Value

The naira has resumed its recovery against the dollar in the black market after suffering a setback. There are strong indications that the efforts of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stabilise the naira may have started yielding the expected results according to the Leadership. A CBN official last week noted that the deployment of a number measures by the bank may have turned the tide in the foreign exchange (FOREX) market and led to the severe punishment suffered by currency hoarders and speculators. The CBN had earlier insisted that speculators were behind the market bubble since the upper week which dealt negatively on the naira, sending it down to an all-time low of almost N400 to the dollar. The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, had accused speculators who connived with bureau de change operators to undermine the efforts of the bank of propping up the naira and warned that such speculators would eventually be punished by the market. Although some were shy, they agreed but to their surprise, the money wasn't real and the whole thing was a set up prank. Some of the girls were pissed after learning of the trick. There is a new twist to the extradition plan by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to hand over the Senator Buruji Kashamu to United States authorities for drug related charges. Senator Buruji Kashamu The senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Buruji Kashamu, has received the backing of the the Senate, Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and the authorities of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to halt his extradition plan to the United States. A Secretary of the Catholic World Leader, Pope Francis, who was also pregnant has been found dead right inside her room in Rome. Miriam Wuolou, the Pope's pregnant receptionist was found dead in her apartment on the outskirts of the city. International media giant, Cable News Network has alleged that the embattled Ali Modu Sheriff is the founder of the rampaging Boko Haram sect that has threatened the security in Nigeria. Ali Modu Sheriff CNN reported the appointment of former Borno state governor, Ali Modu Sheriff as Acting Chairman of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in a rather awkward manner describing him as the founder of Boko Haram which the politician has denied severally. Sheriff has been widely accused of having a close relationship with the late leader of Boko Haram, Mohammed Yusuf during his 8-year tenure as the governor of the war-torn Borno state.
