Nigerians Want Ex-President Jonathan and Wife Arrested for Corruption Immediately

A recent poll organised by New York-based online news platform, Sahara Reporters, revealed majority of Nigerians want former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan arrested alongside his wife - Patience Jonathan over allegation of sharp practices.
 
In the poll which started on the 26th of October and ended on the 27th, 57% of Nigerians wanted the People's Democratic Party chieftains to be arrested immediately for prosecution while 29% of the voters voted NO.
 
14% of Nigerians expressed indifference about the opinion poll which attracted over 5,200 participants.
 
It would be recalled that pressure is mounting on President Muhammadu Buhari to swiftly arrest and prosecute Jonathan whose major allies are currently being probed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Ayodele Fayose   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has continued to expose the massive diversion of state funds into private use by the Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party and staunch critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.   A report by Punch Newspapers reveals the arrest of a close ally of Fayose named Abiodun Agbele by the EFCC has been very instrumental in the tracing of looted funds by the anti-graft body. Agbele, who is currently in EFCC custody, was said to have received N1.219bn from a former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, on behalf of Fayose during the build-up to the Ekiti governorship election in June 2014. A man who regained his freedom from abductors after being held for several days, has revealed some of the horrible things kidnappers do to hostages in their captivity.   Three kidnap suspects were on Tuesday, arraigned before an Enugu High Court for abducting a businessman, Mr. Chukwudi Obi.
