Ali Modu Sheriff    The crisis within the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party is far from over, with Ali Modu Sheriff claiming he remained the national chairman of the party, despite being sacked by a national convention. Mr. Sheriff was sacked at the PDP convention held on Saturday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the National Executive Committee which he headed, replaced with a caretaker committee. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the deceased was buried after a commendation service by the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) on Saturday. Speaking at the burial ceremony, Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa said Alamieyeseigha’s demise was a trying time to the people of Ijaw nation. Dickson described him as “a bridge builder” who believed in what is right for his people. “A bridge builder has departed in our state; a man who knows what is right and just. “We know we have lost a true hero but we have put ourselves together and pray for his gentle soul to rest in peace,” he said. Man Strips N*ked, Jumps into Lion's Enclosure to Commit Suicide But Instead Lion Died (Photos and Video)

The 20-year-old man who broke into a lion enclosurebeing mauled by lions   In a bid to commit suicide, a 20-year-old man stripped himself n*ked and entered a lion enclosure in a Chilean zoo, but survived the incident, as the lions were killed.   According to the zoo's authorities in Santiago, the two African lions were shot dead as they severely mauled the man who had broken into their cage early on Saturday.     The man, who has been named by local media as Franco Luis Ferrada Roman, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was said to be in grave condition.   It was reported that the young man broke into the enclosure, took off his clothes and jumped into the middle, horrifying other visitors who witnessed the attack.      Once inside, the lions reportedly immediately pounced on him and began to 'play' with him. Almakura cheers him on In a bid to show his acceptance and desire to have an inclusive government that would accommodate all the people both able and disable, the Nasarawa Governor, Umaru Tanko Almakura has nominated a visually impaired man representing Gayam ward of Lafia LGA, as IMC Councilor.
