Boko Haram Fighters gets new Uniforms – Army

A statement by a spokesman for the Army, Colonel Sani Usman, said troops of 22 Brigade Garrison and elements of Three Battalion that went out on Monday on a long range fighting patrol to Gima village in Ngala Local Government Area made the startling discovery.

The Nigerian Army says it has discovered that the Boko Haram terrorists now have new means of identification.

“The patrol came in contact with some elements of the Boko Haram that started escaping in disarray on sighting the team.
“They were able to apprehend two terrorists in their new styled uniform of green colour and use of ropes on their legs and necks.

“This is a new development in the ongoing clearance operations of the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists in the northeast,” the statement read.

Colonel Usman also stated that the patrol team recovered one Isuzu Canter lorry which was found concealed with grasses, five motorcycles and two bags of guinea corn.

Other items recovered include three Dane guns, a Solar panel, three bows and arrows.

The arrested terrorists are currently being interrogated to further assist in the clearance operations.

    A young boy has been stabbed to death during a friendly street football match in Okota, Lagos after the match turned violent.   One of the players stabbed an opponent to death at the weekend when the misunderstanding started.   According to Vanguard, some youths from Oseni Liade Street were playing football at the end of the street, when a group of boys from neighbouring Taiwo Street came to join them. But the visiting youths were told to wait for their turn.   At the end of the first round, another set of players, among who were the visiting youths, were expected to take over the football pitch.   But eyewitnesses said they were disallowed, an action that degenerated into a fight.
