Monday Declared as Public Holiday

The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), who announced this, congratulated Nigerian Workers for their resilience, hard work and commitment to the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, despite current challenges.

According to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Bassey Okon, the minister enjoined Nigerians to continue to support the President in his desire to fight corruption, ensure security of lives and property and stabilise the economy through creation of jobs and diversification of the economy.

The Federal Government has declared Monday, May 2, as public holiday to commemorate this year’s Workers’ Day.
