Members of citizen united for peace and stability after keeping vigil in Abuja, the federal capital, staged a fresh protest on Wednesday, April 27.

Photos obtained on social media showed the protesters on the street, agitating over the non-passage of the now controversial 2016 budget and also demanded the resignation of the Senate president in Abuja.

Some of the protesters slept on the road as some were seen taking refreshments after having stayed there overnight, with several others holding placards, insisting that the Senate president, Bukola Saraki resigns.

LG Workers Sacked by Gov Okorocha’s Administration during a Protest at the State Office of Nigeria Labour Congress in Owerri on Monday (27/3/17) No fewer than 2,000 local government workers in Imo State on Monday staged a protest against their sack by the state government at the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, secretariat in Owerri.
