Good Deed: Police Officer Who Rescued the Kidnapped Lagos Schoolgirls Gets Presidential Honour (Photos)

Police officer who made headlines for helping initiate the processes that led to the rescue of the schoolgirls kidnapped in Lagos has been honoured    Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau and CSP Abba Kyari   Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, on Friday, March 31, honoured CSP Abba Kyari, the police officer who was behind the team that led the Special Intelligence Response Team that rescued the 3 abducted school girls in Ikorodu, with a Presidential Award for Courage.   It will be recalled that CSP Kyari led the operation that rescued the kidnappedgirls on March 6th.   CSP Kyari also led the team that rescued the mother of Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, who was abducted in Delta state in 2012.   It is an honour well deserved.   See more photos below:

Military arrest Wike’s aide, governor chides commission over poor preparation Ernest Chinwo, Segun James and Shola Oyeyipo in Port Harcourt  Due to violence and the prevention of electoral officials from distributing election materials, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday suspended elections in six local government areas in the Rivers State re-run elections. This came as at least six persons were killed in election violence in three local government areas. The state governor, Nyesom Wike, also chided INEC for shoddy arrangements that led to late kick-off of voting in most centres, just as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alleged the arrest of Secretary to State Government, Kenneth Kobani, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects, Cyril Dum Wite by soldiers at Kpor and Bori in Gokana and Khana Local Government Areas respectively. Female Student Turns To Snake After Fun Nights With Sugar Daddy   A popular 'happening babe' from the University of Nairobi in Kenya, allegedly turned into a big snake few minutes after a man said to be her sugar daddy, dropped her at her hostel residence.   An eyewitness who is one of the victim’s close friends narrated the chilling incident and said;   “Everything happened so quickly, she had just alighted from the vehicle and I saw her walk into her room. I was on my way to her room when I heard her screaming. Man Infects 23-month-old Girl With HIV and Impregnates Teenager (Photos)

In what will come across as one of the most bizarre cases of sexual assault, a man has infected a toddler with the deadly HIV virus and left yet another one pregnant.   David Wilson   The 33-year-old man, David Wilson, from Houston, Texas, was sentenced to life after he infected the 23-month-old girl, who happens to be his niece, with HIV.   Wilson was found guilty of super aggravated s*x assault of his 23 month old niece in a Houston court on Thursday, March 17. The enhanced charge is because of the age of the victims.    According to ABC, Wilson, a former s*x offender was previously found guilty of the sexual assault of a child in 2005 and sentenced to four years in prison. He was later released.   A court document states that he sexually assaulted his niece when the toddler's parents were out of town. The ongoing military operations to weed out terrorists in the north-eastern part of Nigeria has recorded another admirable achievement with the rescue of several captives. The seized cows taken from the terrorists    The Nigerian troops on Wednesday destroyed patent medicine outlet and major market operated by Boko Haram insurgents and rescued 195 captives at various locations of Borno State.
