EFCC Declears Former INEC Chairman Wanted for Over N23bn Election Bribery Given by Diezani

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  has launched a manhunt for a former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in connection with  a N23.29b poll bribery scandal, The Nation reports.
Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke
 
According to the report, he is alleged to have perpetrated strategies which ensued the rigging of elections by taking bribe totalling millions.
 
Also, it was gathered that the former INEC chairman has been evading arrest since last two weeks before the EFCC now put him on red alert.
 
An EFCC source said: “Our operatives are still looking for him. We have put other security agencies on the alert.

“He is wanted in connection with the N23.29 poll bribery perpetrated by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.”

69-year-old Herbalist Marries 18-year-old Girl As 57th Wife in Enugu (Photos)

A man with an avid taste for having several women under his roof as wives, has married his 57th wife in Enugu.     The 69 year old herbalist, Chief Simon Odo, married an 18 year old girl, Chidinma, as number 57th wife.   According to Vanguard, the who hails from Enugu state, took the girl from Okutu, in Nsukka Local Government Area of the state, last November.   Odo, also known variously as Onuwa, King Solomon of Africa or King of Satan was however married to 68 women but some of them had earlier died.   The police officer caught while stealing   A police officer has been filmed stealing things from a passenger's suitcase at the airport. The shocking incident happened at the ANR Robinson International Airport on the Caribbean island of Tobago.   According to  TrinidadExpress.com , officer Brian Stephens was caught leading a sniffer dog around the airport luggage area as he opened and removed items from the bag. Scores were feared killed as yet another bomb blast went off in Kano state hitting a popular market in the North-Eastern Nigerian city. Three persons have been confirmed dead after an explosion believed to be from a bomb went off at the GSM market in Kano, north-east Nigeria.  At least eight persons were also injured in the blast that occurred on Wednesday afternoon though details of the explosion is still sketchy. The General Manager, Operations at Channels TV, Kayode Akintemi took to his Twitter account to give more details on the bomb blast.
