Air Vice Marshal, R.A. Ojuawo, a serving officer of the Nigerian Airforce, is being prosecuted by the EFCC for fraud.
 
The Airforce chief was arraigned at the FCT High Court, Apo Abuja over charges of fraud today.
 
He arrived the court premises in his full Airforce regalia.

Suspected kidnappers on Saturday abducted and killed the newly appointed transition committee chairman of Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.   According to family sources who spoke to PremiumTimes on Saturday, the newly appointed transition committee chairman of Jos East Local Government Area, Hosea Azi was kidnapped on Friday evening along Miango road, in Kufang, near former NYSC Secretariat in Jos South Local Government Area of the state. The sources said the politician died alongside four of the six people who abducted him after the car in which they were driving him away got involved in an accident in Keffi, Nasarawa State. The ongoing trial of former NIMASA Director-General Patrick Akpobolokemi over the misappropriation of government funds has continued to reveal mind-boggling revelations. Patrick Akpobolokemi A prosecution witness, Mr Emeka Emelano, Tuesday told the Federal High Court in Lagos that he did not ask why the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) paid his company N72million even though it did not bid for any contract, the Nation reports. He claimed he also did not benefit from the payments, as he transferred the money to ‘others’ accounts as he was instructed. Emenalo, sole proprietor of O2 Services Plus Nig. The first prosecuting witness, one Samuel Madujemu, an investigator in the Asset Tracing Department of the Code of Conduct Bureau just began his testimony.   The witness said the former minister was issued asset declaration forms five times between 2007 and 2011. According to him intelligence assessment was conducted on the claims made by Orubebe and it was discovered that there were some other properties allegedly traced to him that were not declared. The Justice Muhammadu Lawal-Garba-led panel adjourned the session on the request of Muhammed Sani-Kato, the counsel representing the Jamaatul Nasrul Islam and other groups at the sitting. The panel had earlier slated the day for members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) to make their presentation, but failed to appear. It would be recalled that counsel to the Ibraheem El-Zakzaky-led movement, Festus Okoye, had announced their withdrawal from the panel.
