Breaking News: Saraki's Security Aides Reportedly Attack Journalist in Abuja High Court (Photos)

Sahara Reporters reveal the security aides attached to the embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki attacked some journalists at the Federal High Court in Abuja in the course of the performance of their journalistic duties.
 
 
The details surrounding the physical assault as well as individuals involved are still sketchy.
 
Saraki alongside his Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu of the People's Democratic Party have been charged to court over a protracted case of the forgery of the senate standing rules to facilitate the emergence of both of the principal officers on illegal grounds.
 
Saraki is currently in court to face trial over a grave offence that could strip him of his public position and attract a lengthy jail term if found guilty.

President Muhammadu Buhari   The thirty-six states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have collected a whopping N673.324billion as their share of statutory allocation and first tranche of the excess crude earnings distribution for the period.   According to a report by ThisDay, a document from the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation titled:  "Distribution of Statutory Allocation and Excess Crude Proceeds to the three tiers of Government in July 2016"  showed that five of the states: Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Kano, catapulted themselves to the two-digits wrung with each carting home between N10 billion and N25 billion.   Similarly, Nasarawa and Ekiti States received N4.508 billion and N4.732 billion respectively.
