Femi Fani-Kayode Storms Court in Lagos Looking 'Fresh and Clean'

 
In sole consideration of the quality of Femi Fani-Kayode's looks, It's safe to say the embattled politician and lawyer must be enjoying some level of comfort, given his restriction and denial of liberty in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
 
He was arraigned at the Federal High Court in Lagos today, 28th of June, 2016. FFK was reportedly in high spirit as he waited for the court hearing unperturbed.
 
FFK who has been a strong critic of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has been held in custody for over one month to facilitate the investigation of suspected slush funds made available to him to prosecute the election campaign of former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the year 2015.

There is a new twist to the extradition plan by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to hand over the Senator Buruji Kashamu to United States authorities for drug related charges. Senator Buruji Kashamu   The senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Buruji Kashamu, has received the backing of the the Senate, Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and the authorities of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to halt his extradition plan to the United States.   This came after Kashamu’s lawyer, Ajibola Oluyede, had in a petition to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, claimed that NDLEA operatives had perfected strategies to forcefully take him to the US in order to answer drug related charges.   He had begged the Senate to mandate the both the NDLEA and the office of the Attorney-General to drop the alleged plan and follow the rule of law in prosecuting Kashamu.   Addressing...

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ondo State has suffered a set back as two former commissioners, Local government Chairmen and two former Lawmakers defected to the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC.    They claimed that over 5000 of former PDP chieftains dumped the ruling party for the opposition Party according to the Vanguard. SSS 2 Student is Stabbed to Death During Football Match in Lagos

    A young boy has been stabbed to death during a friendly street football match in Okota, Lagos after the match turned violent.   One of the players stabbed an opponent to death at the weekend when the misunderstanding started.   According to Vanguard, some youths from Oseni Liade Street were playing football at the end of the street, when a group of boys from neighbouring Taiwo Street came to join them. But the visiting youths were told to wait for their turn.   At the end of the first round, another set of players, among who were the visiting youths, were expected to take over the football pitch.   But eyewitnesses said they were disallowed, an action that degenerated into a fight.
