"Degree wait for me". I was so amazed at hearing someone called that name, so I walked closer to the woman and asked ....ma,why do you call this child degree? The woman laughed and said "I sent his mother to the University and this is what she brought back".....

Okorocha & Ike Ekweremadu   While speaking on Sunday night at a victory party to celebrate the outcome of the July 23, 2016 rerun election in two constituencies, the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, said that Senator Ike Ekweremadu should be warming up to lose his seat as the Deputy Senate President.   The governor who is speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, said a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Benjamin Uwajumogu, who contested in last Saturday rerun senatorial election in Imo State, would displace Ekweremadu as soon as he joins the Senate.   According to a report on  Punch Newspaper , he said it would be an aberration for Ekweremadu to still continue to retain his seat as the Deputy Senate President, after Uwajumogu had joined the Senate, adding that with the outcome of the rerun election, Ekweremadu’s seat had come under  “heavy threat.”   The governor who said that Ekweremadu kne...

Deeper Life Church Ordered to Pay Celestial Church N5million

The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division has ordered the Registered Trustees of Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) to pay N5 million as damages for trespass on land owned by the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC). This means that the Appeal Court upheld an earlier judgement by a Lagos High Court.     It was gathered that the CCC had, through its representative, Joseph Ebhodaghe, sued DCLM over a disputed land measuring approximately 1055.864 square meters, situated at Mulero area of Agege and registered as No. 75 Volume 2004T at the Lagos State Land Registry, Ikeja.   At the High Court, Justice Candide-Johnson in a judgment delivered on January 17, 2014, declared Celestial Church as the rightful owner of the disputed land and awarded N5m as damages against Deeper Life.   The court also granted a perpetual injunction restraining DCLM, its agents or servants from further trespass on the disputed land.   But, DCLM dissatisfied with the ...

Mad Man Drives Car, Kills Two Cops in Benue

Controversy looms on the identity of a man who drove a car crashing into two police officers killing them on the spot. A mentally deranged man entered a parked vehicle and drove it and in the process killed two policemen in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, reports The Herald. It was gathered that the two policemen were on duty at Akpagher Mbatiav along Gboko-Aliade road when the mad man suddenly entered a taxi parked by the owner and switched on the ignition. He eventually rammed the vehicle into them, killing both of them on the spot. Witnesses at the scene said the owner of the taxi had parked his taxi and was eating at a restaurant when mad man known in the area as Mtomga took over the vehicle. PDP Deputy National Chairman, Uche Secondus   Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy National Chairman Uche Secondus might still spend more time in detention after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission refused his offer to return 23 luxury cars he got from a business associate of the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) asked Secondus to refund to the Federal Government N310 million, being the worth of the vehicles.
