Popular veteran actress, Patience Ozokwor, who recently turned a born-again christain, has been pictured recently ministering to a congregation at an Anglican Church in the Alaba area of Lagos state as she reportedly speaks on her life and personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
 
This is not the first time she is seen ministering in Lagos after she announced that she has given her life to Christ and asked people to stop referring to her as Mama G.

Known for her usual wicked mother-in-law/mother roles, the actress now preaches the gospel more than she used to do.
 
Not only that, she has abandoned her old ways of dressing. No more make-up, trousers, dreadlock and even her popular name, Mama G

Gunmen Abducted Paramount Ruler’s Pregnant Wife

Chief Asuquo Abia, the Secretary, Traditional Rulers Council, Esit Eket, told NAN in Esit Eket on Saturday that the gunmen invaded the palace of the paramount ruler in the wee hours of Friday morning. No fewer than 10 unknown gunmen on Friday night kidnapped the pregnant wife of Ubong Assam, the paramount ruler of Esit Eket in Akwa Ibom. The gunmen also abducted the four children of the traditional ruler. Abia, who is also the Village Head of Afaha Akpenedi, said the gunmen shot sporadically for over five hours from 1.30 a.m. to 6 a.m. “The gunmen destroyed part of the palace with dynamites and broke into all the rooms and carted away valuables,’’ he said. He said the gunmen arrived at the palace on Thursday claiming to be policemen from Abuja on an investigation. “They later came back the next day around 1.30 a.m. and shot sporadically till 6 a.m. in the morning,’’ Abia said. A priest has shocked people when it was alleged that he lost all the money meant for refugees while gambling.    Father Amer Saka   Police have launched an investigation into Father Amer Saka,  a Chaldean Catholic priest from London, Ont., after church officials reported more than $500,000 slated for refugee sponsorship was lost to gambling.   According to The Star, Father Amer Saka, a priest working at the St. Joseph Chaldean Catholic Church in London, is under investigation after telling his bishop, Emanuel Shaleta, that funds intended to help new Canadians had instead vanished in vice, Shaleta said.   “He called me on the phone and . . . said he lost all the money. The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ondo State has suffered a set back as two former commissioners, Local government Chairmen and two former Lawmakers defected to the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC.    They claimed that over 5000 of former PDP chieftains dumped the ruling party for the opposition Party according to the Vanguard. Anxiety has beset the social media following the shocking disclosure of the death of Kogi state APC governorship candidate, Abubakar Audu.   The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate of the Kogi State governorship election, Alhaji Abubakar Audu who was leading in the election, is dead.
