#Breaking News: Senator Ben Bruce Finally Reacts to AMCON's Seizure of His Multi-billion Naira Properties



 
In our earlier report today, it was revealed that the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) on Thursday morning, took over the multi-billion naira assets of three companies belonging to outspoken Bayelsa State Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce.
 
The AMCON had, by notice of appointment dated April 18, appointed Muiz Banire as Receiver/Manager over the sprawling assets of the three companies - Silverbird Galleria Limited, Silverbird Promotions Limited, and Silverbird Showtime Limited.
 
As the news went viral online and social media with photos, the popular politician known as the 'common sense senator' took to his social media and reacted to the reports and said;
 
"I have been on an international flight and have only just landed. The situation is being resolved and things will be back to normal. In 36 years, Silverbird has grown and as with any institution, it will face challenges. Tough times dont last. But we, as tough people, outlast them," he wrote on his Twitter accoun

Lagos to Impose Death Sentence on Kidnappers

Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode Lagos State Government may soon join the growing number of states including Edo, Ogun and Anambra that have imposed death sentence on kidnappers, Vanguard reports. According to a private member bill sponsored by the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Mudashiru Obasa, “any person, who kidnaps, abducts, detains or captures or takes another person by any means or tricks with intent to demand ransom or do anything against his/her, will commit an offence, and liable to a conviction of death sentence. The bill, which is titled: ‘A bill for a law to provide for the prohibition of the act of kidnapping and for other connected purposes,’ went through a public hearing in the State House of Assembly, yesterday. The Abducted Channels TV reporter Regains Freefom

The Channels Television reporter in Imo State,Mr. Enyitope Kutiyi, was rescued from à thick forest at Uhuba town, in Ohaji/Egbema Council Area of the state. The reporter, who was kidnapped on Monday has regained his freedom on after police launched massive manhunt for his abductors. He disclosed that the kidnappers had spies that had been calling on telephone informing them of every police moves thereby changing locations at will. The released reporter stated he embarked on hunger strike for his two days of captivity to avoid been poisoned his abductors. Mr Kutiyi was brought out from the forest on Owerri-PortHarcout expressway. He described his abducutors as educated and smart people saying that the kidnappers told him that they embarked on crimes as a result of employment.
