#Breaking News: Senator Ben Bruce Finally Reacts to AMCON's Seizure of His Multi-billion Naira Properties



 
In our earlier report today, it was revealed that the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) on Thursday morning, took over the multi-billion naira assets of three companies belonging to outspoken Bayelsa State Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce.
 
The AMCON had, by notice of appointment dated April 18, appointed Muiz Banire as Receiver/Manager over the sprawling assets of the three companies - Silverbird Galleria Limited, Silverbird Promotions Limited, and Silverbird Showtime Limited.
 
As the news went viral online and social media with photos, the popular politician known as the 'common sense senator' took to his social media and reacted to the reports and said;
 
"I have been on an international flight and have only just landed. The situation is being resolved and things will be back to normal. In 36 years, Silverbird has grown and as with any institution, it will face challenges. Tough times dont last. But we, as tough people, outlast them," he wrote on his Twitter accoun

Police Nabs Lagos Fraudsters Who Defrauded Forex Trader After a Hot Chase

Men of the Nigeria Police Force have overpowered Forex fraudsters after giving a hot chase. Rapid Response Squad   The operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos State Police Command, have arrested two suspected fraudsters who swindled a victim of his N10,000 and two mobile phones in Ojota area of the metropolis. Leadership reports that the suspects identified as Jerry Etiobho, from Edo State, and Emeka Ogu, from Imo State were said to have escaped from their victim identified as Lawan Muhammed but the squad gave them a hot pursuit and succeeded in arrested them. According to the police, the suspects had accosted Lawan Muhammed on Saturday, November 21, 2015, around Ojota, pretending to be seeking his assistance. The police said Etiobho pretended to be an importer whose goods were seized by the Nigerian Customs. He lied to Muhammed that he had a lot of dollars to change. Vigilant Nigerian soldiers intercepted some heavy arms and ammunition concealed in a coffin to beat security intelligence at an undisclosed part of Nigeria.   Facebook user, name Bello Abdulrasheed Afolabi shared a disturbing report of how the Nigerian troops stationed at a checkpoint nabbed some criminals involved in arms trafficking.   The weapons were concealed in a coffin as they pretended to be headed for a burial ceremony.   Read the words of the news poster:   "Ladies and gentle men of the house just take a look at what Army personal recovered yesterday on check points. Explosion Rocks Shell Trunkline in Ogoniland, Rivers State (Photos)

Trunkline explosion in Goi community   A trunk line which belongs to the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) carrying crude oil in the Goi community in the Ogoniland area of Rivers State was engulfed in fire and flames on Monday morning.    An environmental activist, Celestine Akpobari, who visited the site, disclosed that the inferno occurred just a few meters away from a military surveillance post. According to her, the fire immediately followed the sound of an eruption affecting the Agbada/Bomu trunk line.   "Goi, another Ogoni community, is on fire this early morning from an eruption on the 28-inch Agbada/Bomu trunkline belonging to Shell, which is just a few meters from the surveillance post.
