How a Nigerian Soldier Kidnapped in Bayelsa Finally Got Rescued

The Joint Force in the Niger Delta code named Operation Pulo Shield, yesterday, disclosed that its troops on a search and rescue mission have rescued the kidnapped soldier in the creek of Otakeme community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
 
Coordinator, Joint Media Campaign Centre, Operation Pulo Shield, Col. Isa Ado, who confirmed the development in Yenagoa, said the soldier was kidnapped by suspected sea pirates in the creek of Nembe in Bayelsa East senatorial district on March 24, 2016.
 
His words: “Troops of Sector 2 Operation Pulo Shield during a search and rescue operation in the creek around Otakeme Community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State rescued a soldier who was kidnapped by suspected sea pirates in Nembe creek on 24 March 2016.
 
“The Soldier was taken to a medical facility for treatment while effort is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing criminals.”
